HISTORY
Zentil Property Management Inc. traces its roots to Joseph “Joe” Zentil, who immigrated from Italy to Canada in 1948. After apprenticing as a plumber, he earned his master plumber’s license in 1954 and built one of the country’s leading mechanical contracting firms. His success in construction laid the foundation for the company’s expansion into land development, design-build projects, and long-term property and asset management across the Greater Toronto Area.
Over the past six decades, Zentil has grown into a fully integrated real estate platform, active in acquisitions, development, construction, leasing, and operations. Today the firm manages several million square feet of rentable space and land holdings throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
The Zentil Group of Companies has also played a leadership role in shaping Toronto’s recreational landscape. Joe was among the original partners behind Mayfair Clubs, now a premier network of fitness and sports facilities with four locations and over ten thousand members. The family also helped bring Eagles Nest Golf Club to life, transforming a former gravel pit into one of Canada’s top golf courses.

Paul Zentil – President
Paul Zentil
Paul has more than forty years of experience in land development, construction, and property management. He is the President of Zentil Property Management Inc., a position he has held since 2012. He graduated from Western University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and soon after joined Zentil Property Management Inc. as a Construction Project Manager. In this role, he oversaw the construction of more than forty custom industrial buildings as well as large-scale renovation projects of varying scope and design.
In 1992, Paul was promoted to Vice-President. His responsibilities expanded to include project acquisitions, rezoning, design, and lease negotiations for new industrial design-build projects across the Greater Toronto Area.
In addition to his work with Zentil Property Management Inc., Paul was appointed to the Board of Mayfair Clubs in 2012. Founded in 1970 by a group of investors that included his late father, Joe Zentil, Mayfair has grown into one of Toronto’s premier sports clubs, with four locations and more than ten thousand members.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys traveling, sports, and reading, with a particular interest in architecture, design, and sculpture. He is most proud of his family, which includes his wife of thirty-five years, three children, and three grandchildren.
Jens Zentil – Vice President
Jens Zentil
Jens Zentil is the Vice President of Zentil Property Management Inc. and oversees the day-to-day operations of various Greater Toronto Area commercial real estate investments across all market segments. Prior to this Jens completed his articles with a sole practitioner in midtown Toronto, focusing on real estate and corporate/commercial law.
Jens is now a non-practicing lawyer and member of the Law Society of Ontario. He holds a B.A. from Williams College, a joint BCL/LLB from McGill University’s Faculty of Law, and an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
In his spare time, Jens enjoys running, golf, and cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
James Fair – CFO
James Fair
Jim Fair graduated from of the University of Waterloo accounting program in economics in 1982 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1983 has been with Zentil since 1991.
Prior to joining Zentil, from 1986 to 1991, Jim worked on the Zentil files as an accountant with William Eisenberg & Company. Jim was born in Toronto and is fortunate enough to remember the Leafs winning their last Stanley Cup in 1967. Aside from Jim’s professional interest in accounting, tax and finance, Jim enjoys traveling Canada and the world in search of getting iconic photographs.
He is proud to have traveled to six continents and has visited every province and territory in Canada. He has also been a proud Lions Club member for much of his life and is a strong supporter of the Dog Guide program of the Lions Foundation of Canada. Closest to his heart is his family which includes his wife of over 44 years, two children and three grandchildren.

Garry Joseph Zentil (1956–2012)
On February 15, 2012, we lost Garry Joseph Zentil unexpectedly at the age of 55. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother and a beloved son of Joe and Wanda Zentil. His warmth, humour, and charisma are still felt every day by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Garry was part of the heartbeat of Zentil Property Management Inc. For nearly three decades he worked shoulder-to-shoulder with his family—mentored by his father and alongside his brother—helping steward a company that grew from its entrepreneurial roots into a community-building platform across the GTA. Those who knew him remember a friend that measured success equally by relationships as much as results.
His legacy also lives on in the places our community gathers. The Zentil family’s ventures and partnerships touch landmarks that bring people together in sport and leisure—from the storied Mayfair Clubs, a multi-decade hub for tennis, squash, fitness and family life, to Eagles Nest Golf Club, a Vaughan course celebrated for its links-inspired design and national recognition. Garry took pride in contributing to work that made these settings possible: places where competition and camaraderie thrive side by side.
